Nash is an AI shopping concierge browser extension by Pier39 ("we"). This policy explains what data Nash handles and where it goes.
What Nash collects and why
Shopping-page signals. When you visit a page that looks like shopping (a product page, cart, or shopping search), Nash reads product information from that page (product name, price, page URL) to offer you deals. For ambiguous pages, a short text snippet may be sent to our AI provider to classify whether you're shopping — but only when the page shows both a price and an actual shopping cue (e.g. "add to cart", "in stock", size/quantity). Nash never sends a page snippet from sensitive sites — banking, brokerage, payroll, tax, health/insurance, and government domains are excluded regardless of settings — and you can restrict classification further in Settings.
Chat conversations. Messages you send to Nash, plus the shopping context above, are processed by our servers and our AI provider (Anthropic) to answer you. Conversations are tied to a tab session, not stored as a browsing history.
Purchase details. When you choose to buy, Nash collects the details you provide in chat — email, name, shipping address — solely to create your checkout and place your order with the merchant. Payment is processed by Stripe; Nash never sees your card number.
Device identifier and wallet. Nash generates a random device ID to operate your Nash Cash wallet and referral code. It is not tied to your name or email unless you give them to us to place an order, and we do not build a browsing profile against it: your device ID is never stored alongside a record of the sites you visit.
Usage telemetry. Anonymous product events (e.g., "invite shown", "checkout opened", thumbs up/down on answers) and coupon test outcomes (which codes worked at which store) to improve the service.
Store coverage. Nash can read some stores better than others. When Nash cannot read a store's page confidently, it reports that store's domain — and nothing else about the visit — so we know which stores to improve. For each store we keep only four things: the domain, a short technical reason, a running count of how often Nash struggled there for that reason, and the time we last saw it ("example.com: variant_low_confidence: 47"). One of those technical reasons ("cart_total_mismatch") records that Nash's reading of a cart total disagreed with the store's own machine-readable total — again just the domain and the reason, never the amounts, the items, or the page. We do not keep the page URL, the product, your device ID, or any record of who was there — the count is a single shared tally, not a per-person one, and it cannot be traced back to you or used to reconstruct your browsing. Note that the "last seen" time is the most recent report from anyone, so on a rarely-visited store it may be close to the time of a single visit; it is not attached to any identifier.
What Nash does NOT do
No selling of personal data. No third-party advertising or data brokers.
No reading of pages unrelated to shopping intent.
No collection of passwords, card numbers, or form data outside the Nash chat.
No order is ever placed without you explicitly clicking Confirm.
Sharing
Data is shared only with the service providers required to operate Nash: Anthropic (AI processing), Stripe (payments), TaxJar (US sales-tax calculation — receives the shipping address and order amount), the merchant fulfilling your order (email + shipping address), our email-delivery provider (sends your order-confirmation, shipping, and support emails — receives your email address and the related order details), our internal team-messaging and order-notification tools (alert our team to place and fulfill your order — receive your order details, email address, and shipping address), product-search providers (receive product search queries, not your personal data), our page-rendering provider (used to read a product page that we cannot read directly — receives the product page URL, not your personal data), and our hosting and off-site data-backup providers (store order records securely). Each receives only what its function requires, and none receives your personal data for their own purposes.
Retention & control
Wallet credits expire after 14 days. Order records are retained for fulfillment, support, and legal compliance. You can clear the extension's local data by removing it in your browser; contact sanjana@pier39.ai for deletion of server-side records tied to your device ID (shown in extension Settings).
Your choices and rights
You can restrict page classification in Settings, mute or uninstall the extension at any time, and request access to or deletion of the server-side records tied to your device ID by emailing sanjana@pier39.ai. We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for targeted advertising. Where applicable law (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act) grants you rights to access, delete, or opt out, we honor them at that same address.
Children
Nash is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
